The Chancellor Headlines — April 2019

Our regular readers are used to reading about our team’s endeavours with regard to Chartered Insurance Institute Examinations and there has been a particular flurry of activity in 2019 which has been reported in earlier editions. 

Passing these exams is no mean feat, irrespective of which one it is, with the Institute recommending an average of 80 hours study for each exam, across the range of current CII qualifications.  In April this year Ed Painter, one of our Chartered Financial Planners completed the Herculean task of passing the Institute’s AF6 Qualification.  The exam focuses on Senior Management and Supervision and instead of being an exam, it requires the submission of three 2,500 word essays (including referencing). The qualification is particularly relevant as the Financial Services industry is about to undergo a considerable change with the introduction of the Senior Managers Certification regime later in the year and Chancellor’s Director Grant Farnell says “Congratulations to Ed on this very significant achievement.  The knowledge gained will be invaluable to Chancellor in meeting the regulatory requirements, going forward.”
